The joyous festival of Christmas is celebrated all over the world by a large population of people. Christmas is one of the most inspiring festivals with a wonderful message. Traditionally Christmas is celebrated honoring the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. Christmas is celebrated in winter, each year Christmas day falls on the 25th of December and is preceded by Christmas Eve falling on the 14th of December. The message of Christmas is that of love, compassion, sharing, kindness and giving. It is a time to be with close family and friends, exchange gifts and eat delicious Christmas cakes and other goodies.

The wonderful festival of Christmas has inspired many poets and artists over the centuries and they have penned down their thoughts to create beautiful Christmas poems.

Some of the most famous Christmas poems are by William Shakespeare who says “At Christmas I no more desire a rose, Than wish a snow in May's new-fangled shows; But like of each thing that in season grows.”
